A fire badly damaged a mobile home Tuesday afternoon in the Pinnacles area of northern Boone County.

The Boone County Fire Protection District posted on Twitter that district firefighters were at the scene of a fire in the 900 block of East Pinnacles Road. Crews at the scene reported fire and smoke were snowing from the mobile home.

Firefighters were called there a little after 3:30 p.m. from four fire stations, said Boone County Fire District Assistant Chief Chuck Leake. The mobile home was a total loss, Leake said.

A person who lives at the home called after being unable to put the fire out. No one was injured, Leake said.

Firefighters weren’t initially sure what caused the fire.
