Mizzou big man declares for NBA Draft, could still return
Jeremiah Tilmon has declared for the NBA Draft, but he could still return for his junior season.
“It’s always been a dream of mine since I started playing basketball to make it to the NBA,” Tilmon said in a release. “I want to get everything I can out of this process. I’m excited to learn from it and get the feedback I need.”
“Jeremiah has a chance to take advantage of a valuable opportunity and gather information through the process to help him moving forward,” head coach Cuonzo Martin said in a release. “We fully support him using the resources available and we’ll assist him in any way we can.”
Tilmon will have until May 29 to decide if he wants to withdraw his name from the NBA Draft pool. He would then be able to return to Mizzou with no penalty.
The East St. Louis native averaged 10.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game as a sophommore. Tilmon shot 55 percent from the field.
Tilmon’s teammate Jontay Porter still has not decided whether or not to declare for the NBA Draft. Porter has until April 21 to make his decision.
