Mid-Missouri Business Week: Junior Achievement teaches financial responsibility, business success

Junior Achievement of Central Missouri works through schools to teach young people about financial responsibility, workforce readiness and how businesses interact with the community, according to board president Ryan Wiedmeyer, with the ultimate goal of producing more business owners for the community.

“We have programs from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade and they build on each other,” Wiedmeyer said. “They start small, so in kindergarten we teach kids about family and how businesses impact families and then we kind of build up to financial responsibility.”
