Elevated fire risk through Thursday, big changes this weekend
TONIGHT: It remains breezy through the night with winds out of the southeast up to 15 mph. Temperatures stay comfortable, falling into the mid-60s overnight.
TOMORROW: Gusty winds are even stronger in the afternoon, with maximum wind gusts up to 45 mph. Clouds stick around and there is a low chance for a few isolated storms, especially east of Highway 63. Highs reach near 70, and quickly drop overnight into the 30s.
EXTENDED: A cold front slides through Thursday evening, dropping our overnight lows into the 30s. Much cooler weather moves in to close out the week, with highs struggling to get back to 50 on Friday. The weekend will be cool with highs in the mid-50s, and a chance of rain by late Saturday night. We’ll have to watch closely Sunday morning across northwest Missouri for the possibility of some wet snow mixing with rain early in the morning. Showers continue for the rest of Sunday with highs only making the low 50s. Check back with ABC 17 News on-air and online to get the latest forecast updates.
