Moberly officers arrest man with active Macon County warrant

A Moberly man is in custody Sunday night after officials said he resisted arrest and ran from officers during a traffic stop early Sunday morning.

Travis Bailey admited to officers that he was aware he had an active Macon County warrant for his arrest for failure to obey a judge’s order with a $10,000 cash-only bond, according to a press release.

Officers said Bailey claimed he had consumed a large amount of heroin and prescription medication prior to his arrest Sunday.

He was taken to the Moberly Regional Medical Center by ambulance and emergency room staff determined he was “fit for confinement,” the release said.

Bailey is being held at ath Macon County Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
