Columbia Regional Airport experiences delays, cancellations due to weather
Some passengers experienced flight delays and cancellations Friday, according to officials with the Columbia Regional Airport.
According to a post on its Facebook page, the delays and cancellations are due poor weather conditions in the last 24 hours.
The post said fog and rain forced the airlines to make these changes in order to keep passengers safe.
“The latest cancellations were due to ceilings being less than 300 feet making the runway hard to detect when landing,” the post said.

Columbia Regional Airport officials encouraged passengers to monitor their flights online as spring thunderstorms move across the country.
According to the airport’s website, two arrivals and one departure scheduled for Friday night have been canceled.
