Gentry only. Modified just means no one in or out. School continues normally inside. Lasted about 10 minutes. All students are safe.

Police responded to the call at approximately 12:09 p.m. at Madrid Lane and Sieville Avenue. Officers found evidence of shots fired as there was damage to a vehicle, said Columbia Police Department spokesman Jeff Pitts.

Gentry Middle School was on modified lockdown for about 10 minutes, said Columbia Public Schools spokeswoman Michelle Baumstark. All students were safe.
