Brief chance of showers moving in this morning
TUESDAY: We’re tracking a cold front to our north this morning. This will bring us a chance at a shower or two along and north of I-70 as you head out the door this morning. This will be a quick-moving system, so don’t let it ruin your day as sunshine looks to return by this afternoon with temperatures making it back into the low 60s. Winds will pick up at times this afternoon, turning out of a more westerly direction as the front moves through.
TONIGHT: We’ll start out the night under partly cloudy skies to start the evening, but winds will return out of the south as clouds increase by tomorrow morning. Temperatures won’t be as cool as we’ve felt waking up the previous few mornings, only dipping to near 40.
EXTENDED: Southerly winds return and clouds increase all ahead of our next chance for rain. It looks to hold off until later in the day on Wednesday, however. Temperatures in the afternoon will make it into the mid to upper 60s thanks to those breezy conditions. Rain moves in Wednesday evening, and looks to stick around for a good portion of Thursday, with a rumble of thunder possibly mixing in Thursday morning. Rain moves out by Thursday evening, but cloud cover looks a little more stubborn to get rid of. It looks like we’ll see more of a mix of sun and clouds Friday and Saturday with temperatures in the middle to upper 60s Friday and low 70s by Saturday. Showers return to close out the weekend, with temperatures staying in the low 70s. Be sure to check back with ABC 17 on-air or online to get the latest forecast updates.
