Starting the week off sunny, Rain arrives Midweek
TONIGHT: It’s another chilly night across Mid-Missouri as we dip back below freezing. You’ll want the jacket for yourself and the kiddos as we head back to work and school. We’ll see mostly clear skies with winds turning out of the south after midnight.
MONDAY: It’s a chilly start to the day but thanks for southerly winds, we’re tracking a nice warmup by the afternoon hours. We can expect highs in the mid-upper 50s by 4pm. A few clouds are possible, especially across our southern counties, but we’re dry across the board tomorrow. Winds will be breezy at times, sustained at 8-12mph, gusting to 18mph.
EXTENDED: A weak upper-level disturbance will track to our north on Tuesday bringing a chance at some light rain showers across northern Mid-MO through the morning hours. It’s a quick-hitting system, and with amounts staying under a 0.10″. The main thing we’ll notice Tuesday are gusty WSW winds kicking up ahead of Wednesday’s system. Our warmest day looks to be Wednesday with highs back near 70. Rain will increase Wednesday afternoon north of I-70 becoming much more widespread into Thursday morning. This will aggravate the already swollen river situation.
Stick with ABC 17 as we continue to track the increasing rain chances for this week.
