Soaking rainfall moving out of Mid-Missouri, Showers/Wet Snow possible Saturday
SATURDAY: The heaviest of the rainfall has moved out of Mid-Missouri as of the early morning hours. We’re tracking another round of light showers to track through the region by 8am which will spread east along I-70. Some slushy, wet snow may mix in at times through noon before switching over to light sprinkles that will taper off by 5pm. Temperatures will be cold all day, hovering in the upper 30s and low 40s. Winds will also be gusty at times, out of the north, sustained at 10-20mph G 30. Overall a raw, nasty day to be outside.
TONIGHT: It’s an unseasonably cold night across Mid-MO as temperatures drop into the upper 20s and low 30s. Winds will gradually die down through the evening… but will remain persistent out of the north up to 10 mph creating for a chilly start to Sunday. We’ll stay dry.
EXTENDED: After a cold start Sunday, we manage to rebound, thanks to a steeper spring sun angle. We can expect temperatures to rise through the 40s to near 50 degrees. Upper-level flow will relax to start the work week. That will lead to lots of dry time and slowly warming temperatures. Our warmest day looks to be… next Wednesday, near 70… With rain to follow into Thursday/Friday… Sounds familiar. It will be a slow, wet march out of Spring this year, Mid-MO.
Stick with us at ABC 17 as we dry out into the first part of the work week.
