Absentee voters still have time to cast votes

The Boone County Clerk’s Office is letting absentee voters come into the office to cast ballots Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The deadline is Monday at 5 p.m., which means voters also must apply for ballots before the scheduled time.

” Make sure you go online on our website, showmeboone.com/clerk and you can look up your voter registration information, ” said Boone County Clerk Brianna Lennon. ” Make sure your address is accurate because that’s how you determine which polling place you go to. ”

Lennon said she expects about a 15 percent voter turnout, which is similar to 2018.

The clerk’s office said the quickest way to apply for a ballot is in person because voters will immediately receive the ballot to vote. But voters may also apply online on the county clerk’s website.
