Jefferson City candidates participate in forum

Candidates for Jefferson City Mayor and Jefferson City Public Schools Board of Education spoke about the opioid epidimic, policing at the capitol and housing issues during a forum on Thursday.

Incumbent Carrie Tergin is running against Tiwan Lewis for Jefferson City Mayor. Four candidates are running for school board including indcumbent Lorelei Schwartz, Steven Brown, Jessica Green, and Stephanie Johnson.

The forum was sponsored by Citizens Accountability Partners, in conjunction with Jefferson City Faith Voices, Moms Demand Action, Mid-Missouri Black Nurses Association, Missouri National Organization of Women, Capital Area Missouri National Organization of Women and Empower Missouri.
