After a sunny start to the week, rain chances return Thursday

TONIGHT: Winds back off tonight, but remain out of the northeast, continuing the cooling overnight. Under partly cloudy skies temperatures will and it will be a cold night ahead for many of us, with much of Mid-Missouri dipping into the low 30s .

TUESDAY : After a chilly start to the morning, we are in store for a pleasant day into the second day of the work week. High pressure remains in charge through tomorrow bringing sunny skies as temperatures rise into the mid 50s .

EXTENDED: By Wednesday skies remain sunny, and winds will begin to pick up out of the southwest. With breezy winds up to 15 mph with gusts to 25, high temperatures won’t have any issue coming close to 70 degrees. Things become active heading into the close of the week. We’ll be tracking a cold front into Thursday, bringing the initial chance of rain, but we could see a couple rounds of rain through Friday and Saturday. With several rounds of rain in the forecast 1″-2 ” is possible to fall across mid-Missouri, with areas north of I-70 seeing the potential of 2″+.
