South Easley River Road still blocked off

Boone County Road and Bridge still has South Easley River Road blocked off to drivers due to flooding in the area.

According to signs in the area, the road is “impassible during high water.” Boone County Road and Bridge told ABC 17 the road is typically the first road in Boone County to become flooded when the Missouri River rises.

This could cause other issues on the road as well, such as debris from tree limbs.

But while the road is flooded, a trail next to the road is opened for drivers. Though the trail is typically used for walking, people can drive on the road to get to the other side.

Signs on the trail caution drivers because the road is one lane.
