Firefighters battle fire at ABB facility in Jefferson City

The Jefferson City Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the ABB facility in Jefferson City early Friday morning.

Twelve firefighters extinguished the fire within 30 minutes of arriving at the scene near the Hwy 63 and Route 54 intersection.

The department said a build-up of dust and soot on an exhaust fan caused the fire around 3 a.m. Friday.

No injuries were reported.
