Mizzou women’s hoops arrives at NCAA Tournament
The Mizzou women’s basketball team has arrived at the NCAA Tournament. The seven-seeded Tigers will take on 10-seed Drake on Friday at 3 p.m. in the opening round.
Mizzou held a news conference before its first practice on Thursday afternoon.
Mizzou surprised head coach Robin Pingeton right before practice. Mizzo guard Sophie Cunningham wore a protective face mask during practice. A team spokesman said it was just for precautionary reasons.

Mizzou most recently lost to Mississippi State in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament on March 9.
Drake is 27-6 on the season. The Bulldogs were 17-1 in conference play. They ultimately lost in the Missouri Valley Conference championship game to Missouri State.
Drake is led by Eldon native Sara Rhine.
