Great end to the week, tracking some weekend rain chances
THIS AFTERNOON: We’re continuing to track lots of sunshine this afternoon as temperatures continue to rise through the upper 40s. Westerly breezes are a bit of a nuisance today as we have seen some gusts over 20 mph. Those should begin to relax through the evening hours… temperatures top out in the low 50s.
TONIGHT : Temperatures will drop back into the mid 30s under clear skies tonight. Westerly winds up to 5 -7 mph will create below freezing wind chills through the morning.
EXTENDED: Quiet weather sticks around on Friday. With plentiful sunshine, temperatures will make it back into the upper 50s and low 60s even with winds out of the north. We’re tracking a change in the pattern heading into the weekend, as our ridge responsible for a bright Friday breaks down. Most of the day on Saturday looks salvageable, but there is a chance of showers heading into the afternoon and evening. The better chance of seeing rain looks to be throughout the day on Sunday through Monday. Temperatures this weekend will be very Spring-like, in the low 60s , but cooler air moves in on Tuesday behind this system.
