One taken to hospital after fight in northeast Columbia

Police responded to a crime scene on Hanover Boulevard in northeast Columbia on Wednesday morning in response to a physical disturbance.

When officers arrived, there had had been a fight between two people, and one person was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers also found evidence of shots being fired when they got to the scene, but said no one had been shot.

An ABC 17 News reporter counted 11 Columbia Police Department cruisers and the department’s crime scene investigation van on Hanover near Hershey Court at about 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers searched two cars parked in the neighboring driveway as part of the investigation.
