Lingering showers move out with beautiful end to the week

WEDNESDAY: Spotty light rain will be lingering in our eastern-most counties in the morning before the cold front finally pulls off to the east. Temperatures will make it into the low 50s despite mostly skies throughout much of the day. Clouds will gradually filter out of the area during the afternoon and evening. Winds will get up to 15 mph out of the west as this system moves through.

TONIGHT: Under partly cloudy skies temperatures will dip into the mid 30s . Winds shifting out of the north through the night up to 11 mph will create for wind chills below freezing Thursday morning.

EXTENDED: An upper-level ridge will begin to build in place heading into Thursday, which will lead to a return to quiet weather closing out the week. Temperatures will work into the mid to upper 50s on Thursday, and making it into the 60s by Friday. As this ridge breaks down, we’ll be tracking a more active weekend, with a couple of chances of rain lasting through Monday, with cooler air returning by Tuesday.
