Miller County arrested after assaulting officer

A Miller County man is in custody after allegedly assaulting a Lake Ozark officer and damaging a Miller County deputy’s vehicle.

Officers responded to a call at 501 Ballenger Rd. in Lake Ozark on Monday. According to police reports, the man called authorities after suffering from chest pains due to illegal substances.

Prior to their arrival, officers learned the man also assaulted a family member. The subject allegedly became aggressive after authorities attempted to detain him.

Reports show the man later assaulted an officer while on their way to the Miller County Jail. The man allegedly broke loose from his seatbelt and began hitting the officer driving. After the attack, the officer called for support. Apparently, a Miller County Deputy arrived to transport the man. Reportedly, he then broke a window out of the deputy’s vehicle.

The man is being held in the Miller County Jail. Charges are pending in the case.
