Pleasant weather continues through Monday, Clouds and rain by Tuesday
TONIGHT: Our weather remains calm this evening. Temperatures will take a dive back to the freezing mark overnight. Keep the jacket handy this week because even though we warm up, nights will stay chilly.
MONDAY: The work week starts off on a good note, with temperatures near seasonal. Low-to-Mid 50s can be expected by the afternoon with more sunshine. Very light breezes will remain out of the north tomorrow.
EXTENDED: Our next chance at rain arrives as a weak spin of low pressure approaches the region Tuesday. Clouds will increase through Tuesday morning, with light rain showers breaking out after 3pm. Rain will be sporadic and slowly increase in coverage through the evening as the main cold front approaches. It will be a cold rain across the area Tuesday evening. Rainfall amounts will be light on the order of a 1/4″ for most of Mid-MO. Folks to the northwest may see closer to 1/2″ with this system. Most of the rainfall will have moved out by the Wednesday evening commute. We get into the upper 50s and low 60s to close out the week.
