Callaway County man accused in two burglaries

An Auxvasse man has been arrested for burglary and assault after two separate investigations in Callaway County revealed him as a suspect in two different break-ins.

The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Paul Moore, 49, with two counts of burglary and two counts of assault on Saturday.

He was arrested on Friday in the 200 block of Mill Street in Auxvasse.

Deputies said they and Auxvasse Police Department were investigating two cases of an unlawful entrance into Auxvasse area homes where the residents had been assaulted.

According to a press release, the first incident happened on march 9 in the 100 block of East Harrison Street in Auxvasse. The second burglary offense happened in the 500 block of County Road 262.

Moore was identified as a suspect in both.

He’s in the Callaway County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
