Winds kick on out for the weekend, Sunshine and Mild Temps for the Holiday
THIS AFTERNOON: Skies have cleared across much of Mid-Missouri early this afternoon. Temperatures are still on the chill side as cold air advection continues to stream through the area. Winds will continue to push around today. Temperatures will make a slow climb into the low 40s by the afternoon hours as winds slowly begin to back off into the evening hours.
TONIGHT: Winds should finally start to back off into the evening as high pressure starts to move in. Underneath mostly clear skies temperatures will cool off into the mid to upper 20s for lows.
EXTENDED: St. Patrick’s Day weekend looks like a great one across the area. If you’re planning to have any outdoor festivities, it’s a green light. It will be one of the better weekends that we have had here in a while. The next 7 days look rather quiet, as temperatures gradually warm into the mid to upper 50s by Wednesday. Our next shot of rain will move in Tuesday night and Wednesday, as a weak front moves through. Check back with ABC 17 News on-air and online for the latest forecast.
