Strong wind gusts and cooling temperatures
TONIGHT: Skies clear and we will stay dry overnight.The winds won’t be quite as strong overnight, but we could still see gusts reaching 35 mph out of the south, which will keep temperatures from dropping off too much tonight, only to near 50.
THURSDAY: Clouds will increase and temperatures will fall from the lower 50s in the morning to the mid 40s by 6 PM with windy conditions. The Wind Advisory continues until 7 PM as sustained southwesterly to westerly winds at 20-30 mph gust up to 50 mph at times. Winds will shift to the northwest and come down to 15 mph overnight, gusting to 25 mph. There is a slight chance of a shower overnight mainly north of I-70.
EXTENDED: Cooler air settles in Friday with highs in the lower 40s with decreasing clouds. It will be breezy with 15 mph winds gusting up to 25 mph at times from the northwest. We rebound quickly heading into the weekend, with a calm weather pattern taking hold once again. Temperatures make it to the upper 40s to near 50 Saturday, and all the way to the mid 50s on St. Patrick’s Day with mostly sunny skies.
