3 arrested after Moniteau County chase
The Moniteau County Sheriff’s Department arrested three people Sunday after they led deputies on a chase.
A Moniteau County deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle on Highway 50 near California for an equipment violation and the vehicle took off, heading west on Highway 50, the department said in a news release. The vehicle turned south on Route E where it stopped in the middle of the road near Latham, the department said.
The three people inside the vehicle, 34-year-old Matthew P. Bishop, 32-year-old Natasha G. Larsen and 34-year-old Greg A. Wininger were ordered out of the vehicle and detained, according to the news release. Deputies said they found drug paraphernalia, a “substantial” amount of methamphetamine and a stolen backpack-style leaf blower.
Deputies say the suspects tried to eat the meth and one was taken to a hospital to be treated for a drug overdose. The other two were booked in the Moniteau County Jail.
All three could face charges of tampering with physical evicdence in addition to drug charges. Bishop is also facing several traffic violation charges, the sheriff’s department said.
Bishop was booked on a $100,000 bond, Larsen a $50,000 bond and Wininger a $10,000 bond.
