Evidence of shots fired found in north Columbia

Officers found several shell casings in the Bodie Drive and Greensboro Drive area early Sunday, a Columbia Police Department spokesman said Monday.

CPD spokesman Jeff Pitts said police responded to a call of shots heard around 1:30 a.m. and found several shell casings in the area.

A mailbox and the side of a garage were damaged by gunfire, but no injuries were reported. Pitts said police had no other information to release.
