Vehicle fire shuts down part of Highway 40
A vehicle fire briefly shut down part of Highway 40 Thursday morning.
Boone County fire crews responded to the scene just before 7:45 a.m. When they arrived, the vehicle fire was fully involved, and officials shut down the road at North Trails West Avenue.
One lane of traffic was re-opened at 7:50 a.m. while crews worked the fire. Both lanes of traffic were back open by 8:15 a.m.
