Highway 63 lanes back open after Randolph County vehicle caught fire
Missouri State Highway Patrol said a Randolph County Sheriff’s vehicle used to transport inmates caught fire after the driver pulled over on Highway 63 Friday morning.
The fire shut down one lane of Highway 63 southbound near Hinton Road.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital as a precaution. He was not injured, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department wrote in a Facebook post. The vehicle was a total loss.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s vehicle was not transporting inmates at the time.
