Highway Patrol finds several pounds of marijuana and edibles in Cooper County bust

A man could face charges following a drug bust by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cooper County this week.

William E. Arni, 41, of Blue Springs, Missouri, was arrested around 4 p.m. Tuesday on several possible charges, including unlawful use of a weapon and drug possession.

According to the Highway Patrol, more than 4 1/2 pounds of marijuana and edibles were found in Arni’s possession.

Troopers also said a handgun was recovered.

So far, prosecutors in Cooper County haven’t filed formal charges against Arni.
