Woman and child hurt in Boone County crash
A woman and a child were hurt in a Boone County crash after they hydroplaned on Highway 63 north of the Callaway County line Saturday afternoon
According to Highway Patrol crash reports, Wendi Scheer, 42, slide off the road and hit a tree around noon.
She and the 6-year-old in the car both got moderate injuries and had to be taken to University Hospital.
Scheer told ABC 17 News she slid out of her seatbelt when they hit the tree. She said it caused major bruising to her legs.
Also as a result of the seatbelt sliding off, Scheer said the back of her head hit her daughter’s leg and broke it.
