Aircraft makes emergency landing at Columbia Regional Airport

Columbia airport officials said a small, general aviation aircraft had to be diverted to Columbia Regional Airport on Saturday afternoon.

According to airport manager Mike Parks, it had an avionics problem and landed without incident.

Four people were on board the plane at the time and weren’t hurt.

Parks said he didn’t have immediate information on where the aircraft was coming from, and where it was going.
