Mid-Missouri school districts closing Wednesday due to weather

Several mid-Missouri schools will close Wednesday due to snow and freezing rain.

Columbia Public Schools made the announcement around 5 p.m. Tuesday. It is the fifth school day canceled this school year due to weather.

Boonville Schools and Southern Boone County Schools also canceled classes for Wednesday.

The University of Missouri announced late Tuesday that its campus would open up at 10 a.m. Moberly Area Community College also delayed its opening until 10 a.m.
