Franklin woman charged, tried to give inmate drugs

A Franklin woman was charged after she tried to smuggle meth into Tipton Correctional Center, court documents said.

Jessi J. Bull, 34, was going to visit an inmate at the corrections facility on Friday. Investigators heard her previous conversations with the inmate and suspected she would try to bring drugs into the facility.

Corrections officers confronted Bull when she entered Tipton Correctional, and Bull admitted to having meth in her purse. Bull then handed over a white plastic baggie with eight grams of meth.

Bull was arrested and taken to the Moniteau County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

She was charged with delivery of a controlled substance.
