Pulaski County deputies arrest one person in Sunday night stabbing

One person is in the Pulaski County jail in connection with a stabbing.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened before midnight on Sunday.

Deputies responded to a reported knife attack on Swindell Drive in Richland, according to a post on The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

The victim in the case reportedly told deputies James Acklin was the attacker. Authorities said Acklin stabbed the victim several times in the arm and chest area, causing life-threatening injuries.

Deputies later arrested Acklin after locating the Jeep he allegedly left the scene in, according to the news release. Deputies said they searched the vehicle and found evidence related to the attack.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said Acklin is being held in the Pulaski County Jail on a $750,000 bond.
