Local organizations to protest national emergency
Local organizations will gather to protest President Donald Trump’s declaration of a national emergency to fund his border wall.
According to a news release, Como For Progress and PeaceWorks, in solidarity with Indivisible, MoveOn and other national groups, will rally to show support for asylum seekers, immigrants and refugees.
The rally is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. at the Boone County Courthouse.
