Another round of winter weather moving in tonight

SATURDAY: We’ll see a break in the activity this morning as we see the return of sunshine to Mid-Missouri. Temperatures will rebound this afternoon making it back into the low to mid 30s for highs, which will help with some of those remain slick spots.

TONIGHT: We’re tracking our next disturbance to move through the area this evening. This latest low pressure system will start to affect the area after 6 PM. The best chance to pick up some additional snow will be north of I-70 this time, but along and south of the interstate, we will see more of a wintry mix. As far as accumulations, a dusting to 2″ of new snow is possible, along with a glaze of ice where we see freezing drizzle. Roads will once again become slick this evening into the overnight hours, so go slow if you must be out on the roadways.

EXTENDED: Sunday afternoon we dry out as temperatures warm into the low 30s north of I-70 and the mid to upper 30s south. The weather stays quiet on Monday as we hang on to cloud cover. Temperatures again will be below average, only reaching the low to mid 30s. Our next weather maker will move in Tuesday afternoon. This system still looks to bring a chance of accumulating snowfall once again to the region. We start to warm up toward the end of the work week, with temperatures making it up to the low 40s by Friday. Watch ABC 17 Newsfor the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
