Police investigate unsubstantiated bomb threat at Columbia grocery store

Columbia police investigated a bomb threat at a grocery store Friday night.

In a news release, the department said officers were called to Moser’s on Keene Street around 7:45 p.m. after receiving a call that a customer found a note that said there was a bomb in the building.

Police evacuated the building and searched the property, along with an explosive detection K-9 from the Boone County Fire Protection District.

Police said officers found no evidence of an explosive device.

The police department is asking anyone with information to call the department at 573-874-7652 or Crimestoppers at 573-875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
