Miller County fugitive found in Callaway County

Callaway County deputies arrested a Miller County fugitive Sunday after he pretended to be someone else, the sheriff’s office said.

Anthony Hance, 36, was arrested after a suspicious person complaint in the 8000 block of Old Highway 54 near New Bloomfield, the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. Hance initially gave deputies a false identity, the sheriff’s office said, before deputies figured out who he was and that he had Miller County arrest warrants for methamphetamine possession and attempting to escape custody.

Hance was taken to the Callaway County Jail and booked on a $5,000.
