Power lines down on Texas Avenue

UPDATE: Texas Ave. is back open.

ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia emergency crews are working to fix a downed power lines in east central Columbia Saturday afternoon.

Boone County Joint Communications first warned about the power lines around 1:30 p.m. near Texas Ave. and Parklawn Court.

The road is closed in that area while crews work to fix it. No word on what caused the line to break.

ABC 17 News crews report that fire officials are waiting for Water and Light crews to arrive.
