Hundreds gather at Midwest March for Life Saturday

Hundreds of Missourians participated in the Midwest March for Life in Jefferson City on Saturday morning.

“I want to thank you for being here, for marching today,” said grassroots activist Kristan Hawkins to the group gathered outside St. Peter’s Church.

Escorted by police, marchers went north toward the river, passed the Governor’s Mansion and back to the Capitol for a rally inside the first floor Rotunda.

In a press release, Gov. Mike Parson commended participants saying, “Missourians coming together to celebrate life and defend the most innocent among us is truly a reason to celebrate.”
