Man accused in armed robbery of southwest Columbia gas station
A man could face charges after being taken into custody in the armed robbery of a gas station in southwest Columbia.
Christopher A. Scott, 23, of Columbia, has been arrested on possible charges of first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
Police said Scott went into the Break Time in the 4100 block of Vawter School Road around 11 p.m. Monday and pointed a gun at a worker.
According to police, Scott demanded that the worker put money inside a bag before he left the gas station.
ABC 17 News is told Scott was arrested after evidence at the scene helped police identify him as a suspect.
At last check, formal charges haven’t been filed against Scott in Boone County.
