A nice thaw underway as we head into the weekend

FRIDAY: A nice thaw is underway this afternoon across Mid-Missouri with temperatures climbing above the freezing mark along and south of I-70. Areas north of I-70 are still on the chilly side and will struggle to climb into the mid 30s today. Elsewhere, expect plenty of sunshine and temperatures warming into the mid and upper 40s. Winds will eventually shift out of the east up to 10 mph.

TONIGHT: Witch cloudy skies in place fog and drizzle is possible into the night as temperatures remain in the mid 30s through morning. Winds will be out of the south from 6 to 10 mph.

EXTENDED: Drizzle looks like it will develop Friday night into Saturday morning with some light rain also possible early in the day Saturday. Southerly winds will warm us into the upper 50s to near 60 Saturday afternoon with partial sunshine. Sunday looks warmer but breezy as southerly winds at 12-16 mph gust up to 25 mph at times. This will bump our temperatures into the mid 60s in the afternoon, feeling like spring! Rain is possible Sunday night into Monday morning as the mild weather continues, with highs in the 50s Monday. Another cold front will bring a chance of rain in for Tuesday followed by much colder air which brings us another possible chance for a wintry mix as we head into the middle of next week.
