Fog and freezing drizzle possible tonight, warming days ahead

TONIGHT: With a warm front lifting north tonight, temperatures will remain steady through the night as overnight lows only drop into the upper 20s. With warmer, moist air advecting into mid-Missouri fog and patchy drizzle are possible through the night. With temperatures hovering near the freezing mark, we could see some spotty slick spots develop. The best chance at picking up some freezing drizzle will be in our southeastern counties near I-44 where the precipitation will be heavier.

FRIDAY: Morning fog will lift to mostly cloudy skies with some peeks of sunshine in the afternoon as temperatures warm into the low to mid 40s. Winds will be under 7 mph and from the south.

EXTENDED: Fog will be possible again Friday night as temperatures stay in the mid 30s for lows, thanks to a southerly breeze. Drizzle looks like it will develop Friday night into Saturday morning with some light rain also possible early in the day Saturday. Southerly winds will warm us into the upper 50s to near 60 Saturday afternoon with partial sunshine. Sunday looks warmer but breezy as southerly winds at 12-16 mph gust up to 25 mph at times. This will bump our temperatures into the lower 60s in the afternoon, feeling like spring! Rain is possible Sunday night into Monday morning as the mild weather continues, with highs in the 50s Monday. Another cold front will bring a chance of rain in for Tuesday followed by much colder air which brings us back below freezing next Wednesday.
