Weather Alert Day has expired, but another shot of winter weather moves in this afternoon
FRIDAY: Even though we let the Weather Alert Day expire, temperatures remain on the cold side heading into this afternoon, only topping out in the upper 20s to low 30s. Clouds will be on the increase as our next chance at picking up some light snow moves in. Our best chance at picking up a light dusting is in our northeast couties. Winds at times will be breezy as well, gusting up to 25 mph.
TONIGHT: Some snow showers are possible early in the evening, but a dry night is expected with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will drop back into the teens through the morning with wind chills dropping close to the single digits with calming winds.
EXTENDED: Another fast moving upper wave will bring a chance of light snow Saturday morning with the best chance in northeast parts of Mid-Missouri. LIttle to no snow accumulation is expected. Temperatures will reach the low 30s Saturday afternoon under mostly cloudy skies. We could also see rain/ snow mix briefly Sunday morning as another fast moving upper wave moves through. Temperatures will warm into the upper 30s Sunday and Monday with another chance of rain/ snow Monday before arctic air returns. Much colder air moves in Monday, dropping us to 10 Monday night and onlyr reaching the near 20 next Tuesday. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
