Mexico teenager killed in weather-related crash

A teenager is dead after a rollover crash in Randolph County that was blamed on the weather.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Pate L. Schultz, 19, of Mexico, lost control of her car after the wind blew snow on Highway 63 near Clark, Missouri, around 2:50 p.m. Monday.

Troopers said Schultz was thrown from the car after the vehicle went off the road, into the median and flipped over.

According to the Highway Patrol, Schultz wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

Schultz was taken to University Hospital in Columbia, where she was later pronounced dead.
