Weather Alert Day: Bitter cold air this morning. Wind chills below zero

The Weather Alert Day will expire tomorrow morning at 9:30am following the bitter cold air this morning.

REMAINING THREATS:

Bitter Cold: Temperatures are already on their way down this evening… we’ll fall through the 20s and 10s… Sunday there aren’t much improvements as we’ll feel like the single digits and low teens all day.

Slick Roads: Many roads experienced a lot of runoff last night with snow melt and moderate rainfall from the morning. As the arctic air kicked in, many spots have experienced significant refreeze, mostly on sidewalks, bridges and overpasses. These will remain very slick and will need to be approached with caution… Main roads have stayed dry and in turn will not pose an issue. Just pay attention to where you’re going… and stay wary of slick areas.
