Student makes terrorist threat at North Callaway High School
Students at North Callaway High School were threatened Thursday night by one of their peers, the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies began a criminal investigation at 10:05 p.m. after they received a call of a student making threats, and within two hours, deputies found the male student and took him into custody.
“The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office continues to place a strong emphasis on school safety in conjunction with our local school districts, as evidenced by the creation of a joint SRO program which includes the North Callaway district,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. “Any threats made toward our schools are considered as serious and handled as such. Our stance will not deviate on this matter.”
The student is at the Callaway County Juvenile Office.
