New charges filed against alleged K2 trafficker
An alleged Columbia drug dealer has new charges after police found 1,500 grams of K2 and $45,000 in a storage unit in December
Tommy L. Thomas Jr. was charged with second-degree drug trafficking, delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm on Wednesday after police raided his storage unit on Dec. 22. Police also found 580 grams of cocaine, 100 grams of methamphetamine and more than 300 grams of marijuana, according to a probable cause statement.
Officers also found a handgun which Thomas couldn’t legally have because he is a felon, court documents said.
Thomas was arrested in early November and charged with delivery of marijuana or synthetic marijuana.
ABC 17 News previously reported Thomas had organized a youth basketball association.
