Columbia Board of Realtors to host candidates forum
Candidates in the Columbia City Council and mayoral races are expected to meet for a forum on Tuesday afternoon.
The Columbia Board of Realtors announced it will host the forum at its building, located at 2309 I-70 Drive NW, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
ABC 17 News will livestream the event here at 5:30 p.m.
Community members are invited to meet the candidates and to have their questions or concerns addressed by the candidates.
Democratic incumbent Brian Treece is running against former Democratic State Rep. Chris Kelly in the mayoral race.
Ward 3 Councilman Karl Skala and Ward 4 Councilman Ian Thomas are both running unopposed for their council seats.
The candidates are running in the April 2 general election. The deadline to file for candidacy passed on Monday afternoon.
Voters in mid-Missouri have until March 6 to register to vote.
