Two CPS buses get in minor crashes on route

Two Columbia Public Schools buses got into minor crashes on Friday afternoon during routes that happened amid heavy snowfall.

Bus 59 became stuck at Tomlin Hill Road and Pierpont while high school students were on board, said CPS spokeswoman Michelle Baumstark. Sstudents were picked up by their parents, and the scene was clear just after 5 p.m.

One other bus was hit by a car at slow speed, Baumstark said. No students were on the bus at the time.
